DM7 Firmware V1.50 (Previous version)

Due to reported failures during the DM7 firmware V1.5 update process, we are suspending the firmware availability until the cause has been fully investigated and suitable countermeasures have been developed.
Please note that turning off the power before the update process has been completed may result in the need for repair. If the update has already been completed successfully, please do not downgrade.
We apologize for the inconvenience and thank you for your patience.

Please read the following instructions and notes before updating DM7 series consoles.

Cautions when updating

  • Use “dm7_firm150.zip” for the update.
  • When updating, copy the unzipped file “DM7_firmware_V1.50.bin” to the root directory of a USB flash drive, and follow the instructions on the update guide. The Dante firmware also needs to be updated. This can be achieved at the same time by using the same USB flash drive.
  • When updating the Dante firmware, the message "Dante Update Error. Dante Primary Port has no network link." may appear. In this case, connect another network device to the Dante Primary port and follow the update guide.
  • *IMPORTANT NOTES*
Before copying the firmware files, delete all other files with extension .BIN from the root directory of the USB flash drive.

Cautions for Dante Domain Manager (DDM)

  • Please check here when using DDM.
    *IMPORTANT NOTES*
DM7 cannot control other Dante I/O devices while the console is enrolled in a DDM domain.

DM7 Series Firmware/Editor Compatibility

Please make sure an appropriate version of Editor software is used, which is compatible with your console firmware in reference to the following compatibility chart. Using an unsupported Firmware/Editor and other related software combination may result in unexpected behavior.

Improvements in V1.50

  • Improved EQ and DYN touch control operation.
  • Improved screen switching performance.
  • Improved indication of Stereo MIX and MATRIX buses on SENDS ON FADER selection view.
  • Changed DYNAMIC TYPE selection order to match RIVAGE PM V6.

Known issues

  • Turning the DCA Roll-out function ON/OFF while the encoders below the screen are functioning as Channel Encoders may unintentionally change the parameters assigned to the encoders to their nominal values. This problem will be fixed in a future firmware update.
  • After changing the Time Zone, Date, and Time settings in the Date/Time screen of the Setup menu, Dante device discovery, mounting, parameter synchronization, or Dante patch modification of externally connected Dante devices may not function correctly. If this symptom occurs, please reboot the DM7 unit. This problem will be fixed in a future firmware update.
  • When a redundant connection is used, disconnecting the Dante Primary connection stops HA control of DANTE I/O DEVICEs. Audio remains active via the secondary connection. This problem will be fixed in a future firmware update.
  • When a redundant Dante connection is used and no DANTE I/O DEVICEs are connected, the following error message is displayed continuously at the bottom of the Utility display - "Warning:Error occurred at Secondary Port ". This problem will be fixed in a future firmware update.
  • The color of the LED lighting bar on the top panel is inverted between DM7/DM7 Compact and CTL-DM7. This problem will be fixed in a future firmware update.

Notices for usage

  • After executing “Initialize All” on MAINTENANCE screen, the Dante module will be reset to DAISY CHAIN mode. If Dante is used with a redundant connection, unplug the Dante network cables before initializing, reconfigure the Dante settings and then re-attach the network cables.

NOTICES

  • When setting up the latency in Dante Controller, and there is a discrepancy in latency between the transmit device and the receive device, the largest (slowest) latency setting of the two devices will be applied.
